Volume 3 begins with the Lord’s preparation of our world for the restoration of the gospel and illustrates the fulfillment of Book of Mormon prophesies. Students experience a global tour of the many countries around the world and how they have affected our present day. The restoration of the gospel is presented, as well as a brief history of the migrations of the Saints and the growth of the Church (covered more extensively in Volume 4). Students see social and scientific changes that bring us to current day.
Because the history timeline covers modern-day history, the science area of exploration is Chemistry and its effect on history and our world today. Students memorize many aspects of the periodic table of the elements and their properties. This knowledge is then applied when students engage in chemical experimentation – utilizing the scientific method.
LIFE School takes a chronological approach to classic literature. In this time period, students study period and contemporary literature and poetry from around the world, most notably – America and Europe. A study of the changing literature in this period gives a clear and intimate view of the rapid changes in the world.
